Mike Mignola is a comic bookartist and writer, and he was also a cartoon artist. His highly distinctive art was once called "Germanexpressionism meets Jack Kirby". He is the creator of the extremely popular and highly praised Hellboy series about a paranormal investigator from hell, originally intended to be "Anung un Rama," the bringer of the apocalypse. Hellboy was made into a feature film in 2004 by director Guillermo del Toro. Mr. Mignola also provided his skills as an artist to the Disney feature film, "Atlantis: The Lost Empire" in the year 2001.
