Military diving is a branch of professional diving carried out by world armed forces.

The various diving activities, which military divers carry out,are:

• harbour clearance and maintenance
• stealthy infiltration, see also manned torpedo and frogman.
• underwater mine clearance and bomb disposal

Military diving units include:

• Britain - Special Boat Service of the Royal Marines
• France - Commando Hubert
• USA - U.S. Navy SEALs

The Diving Badge is a special military decoration which is issued by the United States armed forces to military divers.
