Miner County is a county located in the state of South Dakota. As of 2000, the population is 2,884. Its county seat is Howard6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,481 km² (572 mi²). 1,477 km² (570 mi²) of it is land and 4 km² (2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.29% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 98.75% White, 0.52% Black or African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.10% from other races, and 0.21% from two or more races. 0.62% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
