Mini-games are small, short and simple games which can be played almost anytime in the Final Fantasy game.
Mini-games were introduced in the series with Final Fantasy 7 with seven different mini-games in the arena (called the Gold Saucer) which is based on a betting system with BP (Battle points) which can be exchanged for items or secret abilities such as Clouds ultimate limit break attack omni slash which 32000 BP is required to get it. Other mini-games further in the final fantasy series is the battle card mini game which was used in final fantasy 8 and 9 and then blitz ball mini games in final fantasy 10.
