Minnesota Thunder - Definition and Overview

The Minnesota Thunder are a US professional men's soccer team. The team was formed in 1990 as an amateur team. They turned pro in the mid 1990s. The team currently plays in the USA's USL First Division. The team plays the majority of its home games at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota until 2003. They moved to Griffin Stadium in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 2004

The colors of the Thunder are blue and gold. They won the 1999 A-League championship, but lost the 1998, 2000 and 2003 A-League championships.
