Minnie the Minx is a fictional character from the pages of The Beano who is a world champion "minx". She's sort of a female counterpart to Dennis the Menace, even wearing a similar red-and-black jumper. Naturally, she is tougher than most boys. Minnie has a cat called Chester, who has a rival called Bonzo the dog from number twelve. Other characters in the strip include PC Tyme, Soppy Susan and Fatty Fudge. Generally these characters are the butt of Minnie's pranks, but Fatty Fudge particularly is also sometimes called upon to assist Minnie in a particularly elaborate plot, since his services can always be bought with a bag of sweets.
Minnie was created by Leo Baxendale in 1953 and was drawn by Jim Petrie between 1961 and 2001. The current artist is Tom Paterson.
