Miriya Parina Sterling - Definition and Overview

Milia Fallyna Jenius is a character in the Macross Japanese animated science fiction series. She was renamed Miriya Parino Sterling in the Robotech English adaptation.

Jenius is a Zentradi ace pilot who fell in love with human Variable Fighter/Veritech Fighter ace Maximilian Jenius (Max Sterling in Robotech). After defecting to the SDF-1 and marrying Max, Milia became a member of the UN Spacy/Robotech Defense Force in her own right and piloted a red-painted VF-1J Variable (Veritech) Fighter into battle thereafter.

In Macross, Milia is a very prolific mother, and she and Max together have seven natural daughters and adopt a Zentradi girl over a period of twenty years from 2011 to 2030, the oldest being Komilia Maria Fallyna (Dana Sterling in Robotech) and the youngest being Mylene Flare.

In Macross 7, Milia is elected overwhelmingly as the mayor of City 7, accompanied by her daughter Mylene and Maximilian Jenius, although the couple are separated at the time. He is the commander of the Macross 7 fleet.

In Robotech after the end of the Macross Saga, Max and Miriya join their friends Rick and Lisa Hunter in traveling to the stars to do battle with the Robotech Masters. Max and Miriya vanish with the SDF-3 during the return jump to Earth preparatory to the Battle of Reflex Point.
