Misawa (三沢市; -shi) is a city located in Aomori prefecture in Tohoku region of Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 42,799 and a density of 356.75 persons per km². The total area is 119.97 km².

Misawa hosts a United States Air Force base, Misawa Air Base.

The city was founded on September 1, 1958.

The first successful nonstop transpacific flight, in the airplane Miss Veedol, took off from Misawa.
