Miyazaki (宮崎市; -shi) is the capital city of Miyazaki on the Kyushu island of Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 307,742 and the density of 1,072.42 persons per km². The total area is 286.96 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 1924.
