Montafon is the valley in Austria extending from Bludenz to the Silvretta. The main village is Schruns. It is famous for skiing, hiking, and mountain-biking.
In the Montafon there are two 9-hole golf courses, one in Tschagguns and one in Partenen.
The Stand Montafon is the association of the 10 Montafon valley villages.
A number of celebrities have stayed in this valley, such as Ernest Hemingway and Erich Kästner.
