Morristown-Beard Prep School in Morristown, New Jersey is located in affluent Morris County, NJ. Morristown-Beard is one of the better independent schools around. This institution has much tradition and history, as well as good teachers. From the street, Mo-Beard looks like a country club and on the inside, the new Beard Hall looks amazing.
Despite the high price tag (typical of any independent day school), about $23,000 a year, MBS students are wealthy and white. The student body is typically prep--sporting the latest Brooks Brothers, JCrew or Vera Bradley trends and spending their summers at their summer residences in the Vineyard, Nantucket or at the Shore.
With diplomas in hand, Mo-Beard sends its graduates to preppy colleges, including Bates, Union, Dickinson, Villanova and Hamilton, as well as a few Ivies.
