Mortification is an "extreme heavy metal group" that identifies itself as Christian in basis and foundation. Led by Steve Rowe and based in Australia, the group formed out of the 1980s metal outfit Lightforce, and through its existence, has had a revolving-door roster of other musicians in the Australian Christian heavy metal music scene.
