The moth bean or mat bean (Vigna aconitifolia, Fabaceae) is a small, drought-resistant annual trailing herb which bears small yellow flowers and edible beans.

Seed color ranges from light brown to dark reddish brown.

It is grown in many places, but is particularly popular in northern India.
