Motor Ace is an Australian alternative rock band. Their members are Patrick Robertson, Damian Birchall Costin, Matt Balfe and Dave Ong. To date, they have released 2 studio albums. Their debut album, Five Star Laundry debuted at #4 on the Australian ARIAnet albums chart in 2001. They released a few singles/videos from this album such as "Hey Driver", "Death Defy", "Five Star Laundry" and "American Shoes". Some of them charted in the top 100 of the ARIAnet singles chart, while they gained popularity on Triple J. Their next album, released in 2002 gained even more success, debuting at #1 that year. The two lead singles ("Carry On" and "Keeping Secrets") even reached the top 30 in the singles chart, with the first reaching the top 20. A third single, "Pieces" also reached the top 100. As of 2004, they are working on a third album.
