Mount Hebron is a census-designated place located in Siskiyou County, California. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 92.

Geography

Mount Hebron is located at 41°47'11" North, 122°0'18" West (41.786373, -122.005132)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²). 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 92 people, 35 households, and 26 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 49.3/km² (128.0/mi²). There are 43 housing units at an average density of 23.1/km² (59.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 73.91% White, 0.00% African American, 2.17% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 21.74% from other races, and 2.17% from two or more races. 28.26% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 35 households out of which 34.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% are married couples living together, 11.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% are non-families. 25.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 3.04.

In the CDP the population is spread out with 26.1% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 18.5% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 32 years. For every 100 females there are 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 119.4 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP is $22,188, and the median income for a family is $25,625. Males have a median income of $31,250 versus $11,250 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $16,556. 22.5% of the population and 10.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 18.2% of those under the age of 18 and 33.3% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
