Mount Pleasant GO Station is a GO Transit train station that is currently under construction along the Georgetown rail corridor located at Bovaird Drive and Creditview Road at Mount Pleasant, a growing Brampton community.
The new station opened for service on February 7, 2005; yet construction of the station will not be completed until March 2006. This is because GO Transit wanted to open the station as soon as possible due to the severe parking crunch at Brampton GO Station and a sprawling community near the new station.
Mount Pleasant Station, like every new station on the GO Train network will feature accessible train service for those who are dependent on wheeled mobility aids with a mini-platform. However, the feature will not be fully operational until March 2006, when the construction of the elevators will be complete. This station also features a Ticket Vending Machine, despite that it is not at the permanent position.
Currently, ticket sales are conducted from a portable trailer as a temporary measure, until the permanent station building is complete. However it does feature a parking lot with 600 spots (expandable to about 2000 in the future) to begin with. Along with that, it will also feature a 9-bay bus loop serving GO Transit buses and Local Transit.
