Mummification - Definition and Overview

Two different meanings:

• The process of preparing a dead body for preservation; see: Mummy

• The practice of (sexually) restraining a living body.

Mummification as a sexual practice involves restraining the body by wrapping it head to toe in materials like saran wrap, clingfilm, cloth, bandages, rubber strips, plaster bandages, bodybags, straightjackets. The end result being a person completely immobilized and looking like an Egyptian mummy.
