NERDS is a candy manufactured under the Willy Wonka branding, which is owned by the Nestlé corporation. NERDS are most often found in a box with two separate flavors, for example Strawberry and Grape. The candies have an irregular shape and are brittle. A newer spin off of the candy is the NERDS Rope, which consists of a main licorice body, with a variety of NERDS attached to the outside. A breakfast cereal based on NERDS, which featured a box split in half with two separate flavors, had a short life in the 1980s.
