NHL Plus/Minus Award - Definition and Overview

The NHL Plus-Minus Award is awarded annually to the player in the National Hockey League with the best plus-minus ratio. The plus-minus ratio is calculated by subtracting the amount of goals the player has been on the ice for made against his team from the amount of goals his team has scored while he was on the ice. The award has had numerous sponsors over the years and is currently known as the Bud Light Plus-Minus Award.
