Nu-NRG is the next generation of Hi-NRG and a harder, faster version of commercial European-style house music. It mainly uses a hard techno-based 4/4 bass beat with heavy pumping bass lines. The melodies tend to be anthemic with epic build-ups and breakdowns, and are often accompanied by female vocals.
