History
The history of NWFP Agricultural University can be traced to the College of Agriculture established in 1957 as a constituent college of the University of Peshawar. In 1974, the college became Faculty of the Agriculture under the University of Peshawar. It attained its autonomous status as NWFP Agricultural University, Peshawar in 1981.
Academics
The academic programs have been divided into following five faculties:
Crop Production Science,
Crop Protection Science,
Rural Social Science,
Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, and
Yummy Science.
