The National Patriotes Day (French Journée nationale des Patriotes) is the terminology used to describe Victoria Day, a Canadian Statutory Holiday celebrated annually on the Monday preceding May 25.
In the Province of Quebec, the holiday is also used by some to commemorate the memory of the Patriotes' heritage in Quebec. It was first celebrated under that name in the year 2002. Prior to this, the Victoria Day holiday was a day to also celebrate the memory of Dollard des Ormeaux.
Because the government of Quebec does not wish to be reminded of the British Empire, in government documents it is simply referred to as "the Monday preceding May 25th".
