Ribbon worms (Nemertina or Nemertea) are a class of symbiotic organisms, consisting of about 900 species. There are two orders: Anopla and Enopla.

They don't have body cavity and are unsegmented. They are usually carnivorous, feeding mostly on small invertebrates.

Most of them are live in shallowseas and coastal waters. Some of them can reach great length (up to 30 meters - Lineus longissimus). Their bodies ends with a proboscis. Proboscis of some nemertines are ended with a poisonous stylet.
