Neverwinter Neverwinter

Neverwinter - Definition and Overview

The City of Neverwinter is the focal point of Neverwinter Nights (NWN), a computer game produced by BioWare and published by Infogrames Entertainment (now Atari). It is an RPG or role-playing game which is based on the rules of Dungeons & Dragons.

Description

The game begins in Neverwinter where the storyline is based. Your character is in a student academy where you and NPC's are being trained in a last ditch attempt to stop a magical plague that has been killing much of the population. There are five sections of the city, the Docks District, the Beggers Nest, the Peninsula District, the Blacklake District, and the City Core. In each section there are things that you can do to advance the storyline and side quests that you can take that are optional. For instance, in the Blacklake District, there is a arena you can enter and the reward for winning is ownership of the bar where the fighting is held. The story progresses and you eventually come back to Neverwinter in the final chapter of the game.
