New Brighton is a seaside village on the Wirral. New Brighton once possesed a tower built 1898 and was 621ft high, taller the Blackpool Tower. Perch Rock Battery was built in 1826 to provide defence for the Mersey ports.
In the 1980's the photography collection New Brighton. The Last Resort. by Martin Parr, cause some controversy.
