The New Patriotic Party is the ruling party of Ghana and one of two dominant parties in Ghanaian politics. The party is centrist, but is considered to be more liberal that its leading rival, the National Democratic Congress. It supplies president John Agyekum Kufuor, and has 122 of 200 seats in the Parliament of Ghana as of December 72004 .
