New Trier High School is a nationally-recognized high school located north of Chicago. Due to the size of the student body, the students are split across two campuses. The Northfield campus was built in 1965 as a separate school, was closed in 1981 due to reduced enrollment, and reopened in 2001 as a freshmen-only campus. The Winnetka campus opened in 1901, and has served the community continually since then. The Winnetka campus currently houses sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

The school currently boasts a two-building enrollment of approximately 4,000 students.
