Newington is a district of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Newington is a small cluster of streets consisting of large red-brick terraces, overwhelmingly working-class and Catholic, about 2 km North of Belfast City Hall, just off the main Antrim Road and near the Waterworks. It abuts the Loyalist Tiger's Bay area, and the peace line between the two areas is often the scene of intercommunal violence.
