Newton (wine estate) - Definition

Newton Vineyard is a wine estate in Saint Helena in the Napa Valley in California.

Newton was the second wine estate established by Peter and Sua Newton. Their first (Sterling Vineyards) was sold to soft drinks giant Coca-Cola in the 1970s. Part of Newton was sold to LVMH in 2000.

Newton is most famous for its Newton Unfiltered Chardonnay brand.

Newton is still operated by the Newton family though overseeing control rests with the Veuve Cliquot division of LVMH.
