In the table-top wargame Warhammer 40,000, the Nicassar are a psychic race allied with the Tau.
The Nicassar are driven by an insatiable curiosity to explore and travel. It was this which lead them into contact with the Tau and becoming the first addition to the fledgling empire. They continue to serve the Greater Good by providing fleets to scout and explore. Their ships are very manouevrable, and with upgraded weaponary provided by the Tau are now a match for any other escort.
