The Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (NBTA) is located in Bradenton, Florida, and was founded in 1978 by Nick Bollettieri as a full-time tennis boarding school that combines intensive tennis training with an academic curriculum. The NBTA builds on three guiding principles: discipline, responsibility and effort. The academy aims at developing its students/players both on and off the court. The NBTA prides itself for being the hardest working and most dedicated academy in tennis.
In 1987, the NBTA managed to have 32 of its students in the Wimbledon draw, and 27 at the US Open. This proved to be its most successful year.
