Crown Prince Nicholas (Nikola II) Michael Francis, Titular King Nicholas II of Montenegro (crown prince of Montenegro) was born in Paris, France on 24 July, 1944 and is the hereditary Grand Master of the Dynastic Order of Danilo I and House Order of St Peter. The Crown Prince is an architect and the founder and president of the Cetinje Biennale of Contemporary Art and fully recognises the independence of Montenegro and the dynastic right to the throne, refusing to recognise any annexation or claims by alien dynasties. He is the only son and heir of the late king Michael I of Montenegro, Grand Duke of Grahavo and Zeta (born on 14 September, 1908; King from 7 March 1921 - until the age of majority under the regency of his grandmother, Queen Milena of Montenegro, née Vukotic, and his ministers) and Geneviève Prigent who was born on 4 December, 1919 and died on 27 January, 1991. His parents married on 27 January, 1941 and divorced on 11 April, 1949) Crown Prince Nicholas II married at Trebeurden, Côtes-du-Nord on 27 November, 1976, Francine who was born at Casablanca, Morocco 27 January 1950), D. Gd Cross Order of Danilo I, House Order of St Peter, Fashion Designer and daughter of Antoine Navarro and Rachel Wazana. The crown prince and princess have a son and daughter: Grand Duke Boris, Hereditary Prince (Petrovic-Njegoš) of Montenegro, Grand Duke of Grahavo and Zeta, born at Les Lilas 21 January, 1980, Kt Gd Cross Order of Danilo I, House Order of St Peter. and Princess Altinaï, born at Les Lilas, Seine-Saint-Denis 27 Oct 1977, D. Gd Cross Order of Danilo I, House Order of St Peter. The father of the crown prince (King Michael I) remained in exile until his death in 1986. King Michael I became prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II after refusing to return to the throne as a puppet king. Crown prince Nicholas II is descended from the House of Obrenovic through prince Yephrem, brother of Milos Obrenovic I, prince of Serbia (elected Hereditary Prince of Serbia by the National Assembly 1827 and recognised by Sultan Mahmud II, 15 August, 1830).
