Ninian Edwards (1775–1833) was a U.S. political figure. He served as the last governor of Illinois Territory between 1809 from 1818 and again as governor of Illinois (as a state) from 1826 until 1830. His wife, Elizabeth Todd was the sister of First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln. He was a Senator from Illinois 1818-1823; 1823-1824.
