Ninomiya, Tochigi - Definition and Overview

Ninomiya (二宮町; -machi) is a town located in Haga District, Tochigi, Japan.

Ninomiya commonly means "the second shrine" of the province, but this town is named after an eighteenth-century hero, Ninomiya Sontoku.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 16,664 and a density of 300.52 persons per km². The total area is 55.45 km².
