Nitrofurantoin (trade names Furadantin, Macrobid, Microdantina, and Macrodantinis) is an antibiotic drug. While it can fight a wide variety of infections, commonly used to fight urinary tract infections. The drug is considered reasonably safe during pregnancy by the FDA.
