Nom Anor, fictional character in the Star Wars: The New Jedi Order series.
Nom Anor is of the Yuuzhan Vong, a species that attempted to conquer the Star Wars galaxy in The New Jedi Order book series. He is also a member of the intendant caste of the Yuuzhan Vong, and his duties were mostly espionage.
He was essential in "softening up" the Star Wars galaxy for the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, mainly by spreading dissent and confusion among the New Republic's member planets.
However, he was also responsible for some of the worst setbacks the Yuuzhan Vong faced.
Accomplishments
Through the entire war of the Star Wars galaxy against the Yuuzhan Vong, Nom Anor won some considerable victories.
- Stirred up dissention between two New Republic member planets at the start of The New Jedi Order.
- Created the Peace Brigade, a pro-Yuuzhan Vong organization that was responsible for the capture of several Jedi and the weakening the Republic's war front.
Setbacks
- Was responsible for the New Republic-won battle of Ebaq 9, due to enemy misinformation.
- Attempted to assassinate most of the Jedi with bo'tus using the deception-sect priestess Elan.
He died in the final book of The New Jedi Order series, The Unifying Force, along with Onimi, Supreme Overlord Shimrra's minon, though fans believe his 'off-screen' death was left ambiguous enough to allow a comeback in post-NJO novels.
