Nontheism or non-theism is the absence of belief in any gods. It includes atheism (both strong and weak) and some forms of agnosticism. People who do not believe in the existence of any deities, whether they absolutely reject the possibility or not, are nontheists. Religions and comparable philosophies which do not include any gods in their belief systems are nontheistic.
Compare with irreligion; contrast with theism.
