North American Indoor Football League - Definition

The North American Indoor Football League will begin play in February 2005 in 14 Canadian cities. As in the CFL, the league will play with only three downs to advance the ball 10 yards in order to retain possession, as compared to the four-down U.S. game. The championship game will be played in June. The 14 teams that will compete in this league are:

East Division - Frederiction Feud, Halifax Havoc, Montreal Machete, Ottawa Omega, Quebec Quantum, St. John's Storm, and Toronto Terror.

West Division - Calgary Crusade, Edmonton Extreme, Regina Rage, Saskatoon Swarm, Vancouver Victory, Victoria Valor, and Winnipeg War.
