Northamptonshire Cricket Club is one of the 18 major counties which make up the English domestic cricket structure. The club has produced several famous players qualified for England including Allan Lamb, Frank Tyson, Colin Milburn, Rob Bailey, Wayne Larkins & David Capel. Also several notable overseas players such as Curtly Ambrose, Kapil Dev & Bishen Bedi.
The club has been moderately successful but still lacks a county championship winning side.
Their groundsman is called David Bates.
