Nuevo Laredo is a city in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas on the United States border. It is connected to Laredo, Texas across the Rio Grande river by three international bridges. The city is larger than its U.S. counterpart, but is younger, having been established after Texas' independence from Mexico.
