RN's, or registered nurses work in hospitals or doctor's offices, or even schools, colleges, universities, etc. They take care of the patients, like taking their temperature, blood pressure, take blood samples, urine samples, etc. There are also delivery nurses, OR, or operating room nurses who work in the labor and delivery rooms, and neonatal nurses who work in the NICU or nurseries, who take care of the babies after they're born, until, they're ready to go home. And there are also nursing assistants, or aides, who helps the LPN, or mostly the RN's.
