Nymph has various uses depending on context:
- In Greek mythology, a nymph is a female nature-spirit, bound to a locale, such as a spring. (The disused psychological term nymphomania for a form of sex-addiction derived from this meaning.)
- In biology, a nymph is the immature form of some insect species, one of several instars of its life-cycle.
- In flyfishing a nymph imitates the insect life-stage, as a lure.
