Following the success of Hurst components in Oldsmobile's 1970s 442 models, the two companies produced two special-edition performance versions of the Cutlass Supreme, the Hurst/Olds.
1979
The first Hurst/Olds appeared in 1979. It used a special high-output version of Oldsmobile's 5.7 L (350 in³) V8 engine.
1983
After the Cutlass line was split between the front wheel drive A-body Cutlass Ciera and the rear wheel drive G-body Cutlass Supreme in 1982, GM again offered a limited-edition Hurst/Olds. Produced in 1983 and 1984, the new Hurst/Olds used Oldsmobile's 5.0 L (307 in³) LV2 V8 engine and the RWD Supreme body. It was replaced for 1985 with a new 442 model.
