From the episode Severed Dreams, the Churchill is shown ramming one of Clark's destroyers. The Omega class destroyer is the primary warship used by the Earth Alliance in the science fiction series Babylon 5 in the late 23rd century.
The Omega class is a heavy warship which carries a variety of energy weapons as well as Starfuries for fighter support. The class was developed following the Earth-Minbari war and is based heavily on the design of the Nova class dreadnought. However, it does not carry the large gun turrets of the Nova, but instead is armed with weapons of smaller size. The destroyers are signficantly longer than the dreadnought due to the rotating section in the center to provide simulated gravity, the forward and aft sections however, remain a zero-gravity environment.
The ships were present during the Earth civil war to overthrow President Morgan Clark on both the loyalist and rebel sides. A small number of loyalist ships during the civil war were equipped with Shadow technology to increase their combat effectiveness against White Stars.
