David Peterson's Liberals were returned to power with a large majority. Support for Larry Grossman's Progressive Conservatives continued to slide as voters decided that they liked the change that the Liberal-NDP arrangement brought. Bob Rae's Ontario New Democratic Party were unable to convince voters that they should be given credit for the success of the Liberal government they supported.
