Operationalization - Definition and Overview

Operationalization is the process of converting concepts into specific observable behaviors that a researcher can measure. For example, when a researcher wants to measure the anger of a certain person then s/he can could operationalize the concept of anger by measuring whether the person speaks louder than normal.
