Optimist International - Definition and Overview

Optimist International is a service club whose slogan is Bringing out the best in kids. The first Optimist club was founded in 1911 in Buffalo, New York and the International was founded in 1919 in a meeting in Louisville, Kentucky.

The organization currently has 114,000 members in 3500 Optimist Clubs.
