Orne is the name of two rivers in France: one in Normandy and one in Lorraine.
The Orne is a river in Normandy, north-western France. It flows out into the English Channel at the port of Ouistreham. The département of Orne has taken its name from the river. The Orne formed the Eastern flank of the Allied landings at Normandy during World War II on June 6 1944.
The Orne is also a river in Lorraine, north-eastern France. It flows into the river Moselle near Mondelange.
