The municipality Os in the county of Hordaland, Norway, has 14,611 inhabitants as of January 1, 2004. Its administrative district covers 139,51 km². Osøyro is the administrative center.

In 1999 the Progressive Party won the election, and popular Terje Søviknes got mayor.
