Palauan - Definition and Overview

Palauan is the language spoken on Palau. It is a member of the Austronesian family of languages, and is considered to be one of two belonging to the Western Austronesian group, all others considered to be members of the Oceanic subgroup.

There are a number of printed materials available to learn the language; an accessible reference to begin with is John Lynch's Pacific Languages; an Introduction.
